It assesses the significance of the factors which influence the level of labor productivity in a firm and the importance of employees with respect to their education in firms within the processing industry. The results of the primary research into the firms operating in the processing industry are compared to the relevant macroeconomic data on the business sphere in the Czech Repudlic which are published in the Analyses of the Development of the Czech Economy and Industries by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and in the Financial Analyses of Industry and Construction (by the Ministry of Industry and Trade).
